Finding the perfect "Two"

Relationships - they can be sweet, sour, simple and complex. As a Christian, you would think in order to be in a relationship, you must find someone that's Godly and compatible. Maybe he or she has the same hobbies as you. Maybe he or she goes to church and serves God. Maybe he or she is smart and has a great sense of humour. Maybe he or she satisfies that "criteria" of yours and therefore, becomes the perfect "one"

To just clarify, I am not a relationship expert at all, but I believe we actually need to look for the perfect "two". Why? If I seek a relationship for life, I need to seek one intimate relationship, which is with God aka the ONE. God should be the one and my spouse should be the two. Sometimes the question I ask myself is "How do I find the right person for me?". And to be honest, that is the wrong question to ask. I really should be asking, "Who am I and who am I created for?" Who am I called to be?

If you are single right now, be content! Don't try to fill the void. Take this space to figure out who you are and rest in God's timing. And if you are in a relationship, take time together to reflect where God's place is in your relationship. God really does want the best for us.

So....
Instead of constantly trying to find the perfect "two", meditate on the fact that the perfect "one" has already found you :) God bless.

Days that Mattered

Days that Mattered is a story about a daughter, who had an amazing relationship with her father, but gradually drifted away from him as she grew older. Sometimes we are so consumed with our own lives that we just gradually start to neglect and ignore our loved ones until we realize it much later in life. I believe this is very relevant to many of us. I, too, have to admit that I often take my parents for granted and I do not give them the appreciation they deserve.

This short film allows the audience to think. In the beginning of this film, I'm sure many of us were thinking about our past relationships with a boyfriend or girlfriend or someone we really liked. And that was the point. You see, we are sometimes so consumed with our own personal lives that we do not pay enough attention to the other blessings around us, our other loved ones - our family.

Seeing our parents' unending and sacrificial love for us - it's actually amazing. Unfortunately, I feel like I won't truly understand what my parents are going through until I become a parent myself. And that is why I feel like this short film speaks. I hope it can remind us that we don't have to wait for our parents to grow old and for us to FINALLY realize their love when we eventually end up in their shoes as parents ourselves. No. I believe we can show love, appreciation, and most importantly, respect to them.....today.

So... let's make every single day matter :)

Whom Shall I fear?

I love this song by Chris Tomlin called "Whom Shall I Fear".
It's so encouraging and powerful.

I absolutely love the bridge.

And nothing formed against me shall stand
You hold the whole world in Your hands
I'm holding on to Your promises
You are faithful

You are faithful
You are faithful

NOTHING against me...as in our greatest fear, our biggest pet peeve, or even our enemy.
The WHOLE WORLD...as in me, you, the skies, the trees and even the furthest stars.
HIS PROMISES....as in His unending grace, His peace and joy, and His everlasting love.

Lord, you are faithful and I truly believe that....
....and never let me forget that.
